1st stop NYC
The first leg of our trip is New York City, staying in the Upper West side just off Central Park. Leaving was hard, but worth the sacrifice.
Preparing for the Journey
Renting out your home, pulling the kids out of school and enrolling them in k12 home school program, vaccinations, booking travel and lodging, and decluttering and storing our personal belongings was and is an undertaking, to say the least, all of which were possible only for Michelle.
The journey begins!
August 6, 2021 we finished up the lose ends of preparing and executing the short term move. Our tenant moved in a few hours after we left. First stop was Glenwood, Illinois for my nephews wedding, and on to Central Illinois, Jacksonville, IL Sunday morning for the week before coming back to Chicago Saturday to fly to New York. We will be in New York-New Jersey for about a week before we embark on our journey.

The car was packed with our essential clothing and what we need for the week. I have to admit, I am extremely satisfied with all of the passenger and cargo space with the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, as you can see every square inch of the car was utilized! From Jacksonville, we get prepared with everything we need for the trip. The preparation for the trip was and has been quit the experience, and only made possible because Michelle has managed all the critical aspects for prepping to leave for 9 months of global travel.
